Effective date: November 7, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information Photos in the House collects when you visit photosinthehouse.com, request our price list, book a shoot or get in touch with us, and how we use it.
Who we are
Photos in the House, Inc. is a real estate and vacation rental photography business in Seattle, Washington. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” mean Photos in the House, and “you” means anyone who visits our website or contacts us. Our website is meant for people in the United States, mainly in the Seattle area.
You can reach us by email at info@photosinthehouse.com or by phone at 907-350-7088.
Information you give us
You don’t need an account to use our website. There are no logins and no comment forms. Apart from the technical and usage information collected automatically (described later in this policy), you only give us personal information when you choose to, in the ways below.
Price list requests
On our pricing page, you can enter your email address to get our price list. Here’s what happens when you do:
- The website emails you the price list, with a PDF copy, through Resend, an email delivery service.
- We receive a notice of your request, with your email address and the time, at info@photosinthehouse.com so we can follow up on it.
- We do not add you to a mailing list.
- To prevent abuse, the website briefly stores a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address for 24 hours and a scrambled visitor identifier for about an hour. It does not store your plain email address in the website database.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we use what you send or tell us to reply and to provide our services. Our business email runs on Microsoft 365.
Online booking
Orders are placed through HD Photo Hub at photosinthehouseinc.hd.pics, a third-party ordering and delivery system. Information you enter there, such as your name, contact details, property address and order details, is used to schedule your shoot and deliver your photos and media. HD Photo Hub has its own privacy policy, which also applies to what you enter there.
Information collected automatically
Our website is hosted by Hostinger and delivered through Hostinger’s content delivery network (CDN). Like any web server, it records technical information each time your browser asks for a page, such as your IP address, your browser and device type (called the user agent), the page you asked for and the time. This information is used to run the site and keep it secure.
Our analytics tools also collect information about how you use the site, as described in the next section.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for two analytics tools, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, described below. Embedded content from other companies, such as Matterport tours, may also set its own cookies, as explained under “Embedded content and links” below. We do not show advertising on our site, and we do not use ad pixels, including the Facebook pixel.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4), installed through Google’s Site Kit plugin for WordPress. Google Analytics works through a Google tag that runs in your browser. It sets cookies such as _ga and sends usage information to Google, such as the pages you view, your time on the site, your approximate location based on your IP address, your device and browser type, and the website that referred you.
Google processes this information so we can see how our site is used. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site.
To learn more, see how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps (maps of where visitors click and scroll) and session replay (a playback of how a visit moved through our pages). This includes things like clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and page navigation. Both we and Microsoft receive this information. This website usage data is captured using first- and third-party cookies and similar technologies, including Clarity cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Microsoft may also use cookies such as MUID. By default, Clarity hides (masks) sensitive content.
We use Clarity to improve the site’s design and usability and to spot problems. Our Clarity project is not connected to Microsoft Advertising or Google Ads, and we do not use Clarity data for advertising. We have also connected Clarity to our Google Analytics account, so the two tools can share information, such as links from our Google Analytics reports to the matching Clarity recordings. To learn more, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Embedded content and links
Some parts of our site load content from other companies:
- Google Fonts. Our site loads fonts from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your browser connects to Google and Google receives your IP address.
- Embedly. We use an Embedly script (cdn.embedly.com) to show embedded content cards.
- Matterport. Our 3D virtual tours page embeds Matterport 3D tours (my.matterport.com).
Embedded content from other websites, such as Embedly cards and Matterport tours, behaves the same way as if you had visited that website. Those sites may collect data about you and use cookies.
Our site also links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Zillow and other sites. These are ordinary links, not embedded trackers. When you follow a link and leave our site, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
How we use information
- To reply to your emails and calls and provide our services
- To send the price list you asked for and follow up on your request
- To schedule shoots and deliver photos and media
- To run the website, keep it secure and prevent abuse
- To understand which pages are useful, improve the site’s design and usability, and find problems
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers that process it for our website or business:
- Hostinger for website hosting and the CDN
- Google for Google Analytics and Google Fonts
- Microsoft for Microsoft Clarity and our Microsoft 365 email
- Resend for delivering price list emails
- HD Photo Hub for online booking and delivery
- Embedly and Matterport for embedded content
HD Photo Hub has its own privacy policy, and links to Google’s and Microsoft’s privacy information appear above. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
For price list requests, the website keeps the scrambled (hashed) form of your email address for 24 hours and the scrambled visitor identifier for about an hour. Emails you send us, and the price list request notices we receive (which include your email address and the time of the request), are kept in our Microsoft 365 business email.
Information held by our service providers, such as analytics data, server logs, emails delivered through Resend and booking records, may be kept by those providers as described in their own privacy policies.
Your choices
- Cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, including analytics cookies, in their settings.
- Google Analytics. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- What you share. You can browse our site without giving us your name or email address. Requesting the price list, booking a shoot or contacting us is always up to you.
Your requests
If you have a question or request about your personal information, email info@photosinthehouse.com or call 907-350-7088. You can ask what personal information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. For information held by our service providers, you can also use the options in their own privacy policies.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13. If you think a child has given us personal information, please contact us.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. For example, our website database stores only a scrambled (hashed) form of price list email addresses, not the plain address, and our web host records request information to help keep the site secure. However, no method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
